Eight judgments were issued by the Administrative Court of Toulon on May 30, 2024, in favor of the Municipality, in two appeals filed by PG1, PG2, PG3, and the SNPG against the termination of the concessions and the choice of management by direct administration.

The Court ruled that the Municipality's decisions to terminate the port concessions and to choose a management mode by direct administration were lawful and ordered the appellants to each pay a sum of €1,500 to the Municipality.

The Court found that:

  • The Municipality was within its rights to terminate the port concessions.
  • The Municipality complied with all legal regulations in this termination.
  • The Municipality had provided all necessary information regarding this termination.

The Mayor and President of the Municipal Administration, Alain BENEDETTO, is pleased that the professionalism of the municipal team and the good faith of the Municipality have been recognized and now wishes to move past the judicial aspect. The Municipality aims to prioritize dialogue and co-construction, with a consultation process that began last week, and for which a wide participation of boaters and residents of Port Grimaud is hoped for.
